To those gathered to the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ elsewhere:

In Numbers 21:16-17, it says “…Gather the people together, and I will give them water. Then Israel sang this song, Spring up, O well; sing ye unto it.” It is encouraging see the Lord’s provision in this chapter. Earlier in this story, Moses directed by the Lord, set a serpent of brass on a pole, which when the people were bitten by the fiery serpents and looked upon, lived. Does not the serpent of brass remind us of when the Lord Jesus was on the cross? “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up.” John 3:14 May we not be satisfied with merely getting life by a look at that cross but seek to enter more into the preciousness of it and thus be more attracted to Him. The Lord’s provision both in His remedy for their sin and the waters of refreshment that followed remind us of the goodness of God. May our hearts well up in song as theirs did!

It is our desire too, that there would a gathering of the Lord’s people in Carrollton, Ohio again this year, and that the Lord would give waters of refreshing. As such, we would like to invite you to join us for special meetings at Camp Muskingum in Carrollton, Ohio. The conference meetings will begin, Lord willing, with prayer on Friday, July 4 at 3:00pm and will continue through Lord’s Day afternoon, July 6. We also would like to invite the young people for two days of activities and meetings, beginning July 2 just prior to the conference and concluding at lunch on July 4. (See attached letter) This year we also want you to know that anyone attending for the conference portion is more than welcome to arrive on Thursday evening if they would like to enjoy extra time of fellowship, ministry, and time on the lake.
